Travel has always been a big part of Mattie’s life, having traveled abroad on annual family trips since she was a young girl. These trips laid the foundation for her lifelong desire to explore, discover and experience all this extraordinary world has to offer.
For as long as she can remember, Mattie has spent her free time researching emerging destinations, new hotels, and the latest and greatest hotspots all over the world, creating endless must see, eat and do lists. She started helping her friends and family plan their trips and learned that she truly loved taking care of all the little details that make a big difference in a trip and had a talent for planning and organizing exceptional and seamless travel itineraries. After a ten-year career in healthcare marketing and sales, Mattie decided to officially join the travel industry to pursue her life-long passion for travel and started MDM Escapes.
Mattie’s idea of the ultimate escape balances adventure and immersive cultural experiences with leisure and moments of relaxation. When traveling to different destinations, she loves to taste the unique local cuisine and wines, connect with the local people, wander off the beaten path, and explore the culture and unique experiences every new destination has to offer.
